About Us
Hello and welcome to Monokrome Creative Studio! We are excited to announce the launch of our new creative hub in midtown Toronto. This 500 sqft space offers beautiful natural lighting, as well as the option of strobes and photography essentials. Whether you have an upcoming fashion shoot, or want to update your family photos, or simply just want to fine-tune your photography/videography skills, Monokrome is happy to host you! We also offer this space to be used for small events, art sessions, and all creative needs!
Who Are We?
We are Dwayne and Courtney, Scarborough natives and creative souls. We both began our photography journey by dabbling in film development in high school, followed by the undeniable digital takeover. Dwayne has been a photographer for over a decade now, with a love for shooting fashion, commercial and portraiture. Courtney completed Ryerson’s Fashion Communication program, which focused heavily on editorial photography, styling and graphic design. Some of our latest projects include overseas editorials and children’s fashion styling.
What is Monokrome?
By definition, the word monochrome speaks to black and white photography, where you will find varying tones of one colour. As multi-racial owners, our vision summed up in a simple phrase is “black and white, and everything in between,” meaning that our space is open to all individuals and forms of creativity. We are constantly inspired by the art community and love meeting new faces, so we look forward to welcoming you to Monokrome Creative Studio.
